I just started watching the new series Mars on the Nat Geo channel. Don't know if any of you guys have seen it, but it's pretty interesting. It ties in a story line from 2033 with where we are in space exploration now, specifically Mars. It's on Monday nights and, for anyone interested in this kind of science, worth a look.
The other show that I've been watching is on Thursday nights on CBS. Check out "Pure Genius" for the science alone. The acting is kind of cheesy, which is too bad, because the science is real and quite amazing. The show is about a high tech hospital combining the best medical talents with the best tech minds.
The interesting thing about this show is that none of the "inventions" are fiction. All of the medical gadgetry used in the show has been patented, and either in prototype form or already in use in other countries. It's amazing to see what's available and what can already be achieved. Kudos to the creators for the idea, hope the writers can get it together now!
