Hey guys! I thought that some titles for PSC members could be done. Something like: Farmer, Hunter, AFKer, Stronger AFKer  etc... This is only an idea! Might look silly but I hope you get my point. I like titles! And something small like that shouldnt make much difference to the site but its a little something. Just so maybe new commers know a little more about people here. I really hope you get my point  |

I really hope you get my point Just to be clear, are you suggesting titles that people can choose themselves... So that other members know what they do most IG? I could see it as a fun addition. If it were possible to add it to the left above or below where the guild tag is, it wouldn't take up much space. Farmer & Hunter are great...I LoLove the AFKer, and possibly Mighty AFKer...Might also add Trader as well as Trade Moderator (for Kael et al who do this), also Gate Opener & Social Butterfly. There are a few Beggars in pre as well who are proud of it, so maybe Professional Beggar? There's probably a few I haven't thought of but this is just the beginning of the thread so... I was thinking of Titles given to Players who does something IG. Eg, lets say if player Trades a lot, he gets Trader Title... If a person hunts a lot he gets Hunter Title etc... and maybe every title has its own colour like: Hunter is green title colour then AFKer gets blue etc...
My idea was that person gets a title if he is well known of doing the thing he does.

I think that it might get a tad confusing for members trying to figure where to post those title requests, especially since we already have this Title System in play: presearing.boards.net/thread/63/get-forum-titles Unless we were to call it something else, since profession is already taken as well. Perhaps "moonlighting as"... Then there is the question of knowing 254 members well enough IG to know what they do in their online time. I really think it's probably better to have a small moonlighting title under the post count and over the Guild Tag, letting players choose themselves. We could put up a poll or something for title color choices, but that would be down the road after the title names were settled. |

I do like the Idea of this, however with the Trade Moderator title that Is a big risk putting It on anyone obviously... I would be honored to have such a title as that's mainly what I do in game most days now. I would say It's earned after X amount of trades or known in the community etc etc numerous reasons which would grant them the title.
There are numerous titles on the forum we could do I.e "+1 Warrior" for someone who just loves to get the forum count up haha! But yeah I do definitely approve this Idea!

Earned titles, such as LDoA, are already available to anyone who wants to do the work to achieve them. We don't want the idea of fun titles turning into something elitist. I do agree with Kael though on the TM title. Maybe a few of them should have requirements, so that scammers can't acess them. Maybe a choice selection on the main profile page for the simpler ones, with certain titles in red and unavailable until certain requirements are proven to have been met. However nominating someone for titles like AFKer or Mighty AFKer or even Professional Beggar could cause a rift between members. Those should be humorous choices that a member can select for themselves. If we do attempt this, it should be approached in the simplest way possible, so as not to confuse it with the title system already in place. |

My idea was a PSC member searches through the members list if he wants to hunt and if he finds fellow hunter online he messages him maybe a new table for members with hunter titles and Trader titles etc. Same with TM.. TM nedded bah done, AFKer would be humorous but not for all. Not really sure what else to salvage from this idea nor to add anything... |

i certainly agree, if scammers are found to be a part of our forums, or someone is bashing the forum ingame or on it, they'll be spoken to, or removed.

(Some rules down here where by sending In this form they agree to them && acknowledge them)
Just think this may be a good idea but that's just me!

I really hope you get my point Oh Wow! I was just re-reading this thread and I realized that it went from being a simple fun idea right into a complex nightmare. I think if we do something like this we should keep it very very simple. We would definitely have to leave out titles that can cause issues. Remember "to KISS"! Probably the easiest way to go about this is to add a choice of maybe 6 fun, non combative titles. A member could scroll down and choose his/her own, starting with the 3 that Gorm suggested: Farmer, Hunter, & AFKer (or Ascalonian Street Potato, similar to couch potato but standing and... most definitely NOT road apple) And 3 other fun titles like : Trader, Gypsy (for wanderers between pre & post), Gate Opener (Could be Lever Jockey). A possible 7th only for the self admitted and proud about it would be... Professional Beggar There are 6 professions, I think 6 or 7 simple fun titles would do well. We can keep the business end out of it for the most part, far less hassles that way. And... if the shoe fits, members will have the fun of trying it on for themselves. I myself would choose Gypsy  |
