Hi all New member hear.
I was thinking a war/ele axe/fire or ele/mo fire/smit for grouping dmg. And a mo/nec Enchanter/Death team. Is it possible to group the shrine boss's ? I also don't know what dmg max axe mastery and a gg axe dmg is !?
EDIT: NVM its hard to group the boss's. Thay don't walk much.
Quot "Lieutenant's (Not usable in Pre) Armor -20 (Non-Stacking) Armor +20 (Vs. Elemental Damage)" Is it true that this will not work in pre ?
Are all insignias Stackable or do thay just apply to that peace of armor's base armor ?
EDIT again: Ok so if I was abule to grup them I thaink thay might do to much life/pipe degen. 2 of them have a skill that does that. No armor can help with this.

But I did not see much on all 4 the wiki's I use other than some of the pointers you gave me. Thank you for that I may not understand literature to well. So it takes a lot longer for me to post(spell checking every 4 words on ave) a pub posting for every one who is not familiar with my lame literature communication. And I apologize for it. I forget if this means x > n. Does it mean less than n or other way around ? That's why I asked if armor has a cap bass armor rating. I also notice'd on presearing community the dates(updates) are in the order of day/month/year. I think. So I just wanted confirmation that the statement of the insignia's not working in pre are true. ty for all you'r time

Hey there!
So basically the vanguard initiate locks your armour rating in at a set number depending on your level and profession
After testing the community has determined assuming the vanguard Initiate buff is active the following is true:
-Your base armour rating doesn't have an effect (starter armor vs collector armor wont change the damage you take)
-shield's armour rating also has no effect HOWEVER +armour vs (species) mods still seem to work, so charr shields are still popular
-insignias that add armour (eg: Blessed insignia) don't add armour when the Vanuard initiative buff is active.
-damage reduction still works fine, shields with -2 while in stance for example still work as they should, and so does a warrior's knight insignia and damage reduction rune.
-the last thing to note. The vanguard buff only works on enemies above level 5, not that it matters a lot but dont expect to be invincible in the catacombs or fighting skale or bandits.
Please anyone feel free to test those facts and correct me if maybe I remembered something wrong.

edit
lieutnants insignias should work in pre. problem is that they don t drop. think they were introduced with NF
RED does not count while under "Vanguard Initiate" (VI). VI basically replaces that type of armor and sets it to a certain value, depending on your class and lvl, which can t be raised, which is why insignias, that give you extra armor, are unpopular.
GREEN counts while under VI.
BLUE does not exist in pre.
as for what is capped and uncapped
Core = uncapped Bonus= capped at a max of 25 but can exceed 25 if 1 of those things is higher than 25. Read "armor calculation" if you want to know more.
but that is unimportant in pre as you don t have skills that can send you over 25 bonus armor. highest should be 7 (on one hand weapon)+ 9 (on shield)
Armor calculation Categories Core armor, consisting of: Basic armor, Insignia, Mysticism, Base Shield armor, and Inscriptions (actual inscriptions, not inherent mods that can be reproduced with inscriptions).
Bonus armor, consisting of: All other weapon mods, Inherent mods, including Unique (Green) item mods, Non-skill effects (Consumables, Blessings and Titles), and Almost all skills, with the exception of those in the Special armor category. Any penalties from Cracked Armor. Special armor, consisting of: Bonuses: "I Am Unstoppable!", Illusionary Weaponry and Mantra of Signets, and Penalties: Critical hits, Barbed Arrows, Healing Signet, Shadowy Burden and the Flux effect Massive Damage.
