Hello Everyone! This is a quick update on the last poll, and an introduction to yet another. I have locked the last thread "Snow Poll" since there were no recent replies or votes. It appears that about 2/3 of the voters preferred the full on snow to the background snow. There were however, requests for other images as well! This new plug in will do that up to 255 flakes  All we have to do is set it to accumulate! And we can still make a full on blizzard if we want one! This plug in has falling leaves, and Halloween images, and Thanksgiving images, and Christmas images, and New Years images! For Spring it has Valentine's Day images, and Saint Patrick's Day images, and Easter images. There is just 1 thing I have yet to find... A Bloody mirage for MEIR! However, This plug in DOES have the capacity to also upload images of our own choice, up to 48 x 48 pixels so...we can work on finding something mystic & steamy for summer. Oh, and we can also change the direction...so images like Halloween Bats & Witches Fly up! So, here we go again! A new poll...This one with all of the above vs what I just turned off for the time! Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...if there are any lag issues at all, I need to know. That to me is an immediate turn off! So far it is not affecting my laptop, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Well, these images may make it slightly more difficult for people to read things, but it's not that bad I can slow it down, but I just wanted it to be raining down full Aussie when MEIR next logs on! I kinda promised him a nice to do for Australia Day awhile back! And be nice Lord , I'm already hunting down Maple Leaves for July 1st!! |

It's cute but it takes up extra data when I load up desktop mode from my phone Ahhhhh.....Yes, I can see where that can be a problem! On the bright side... the Spring holidays, Valentines Day & St. Pat's Day, are only 1 day each... (Easter will be 2 if you consider Orthodox Easter), Canada Day and American Independence Day are just 1 day each also. The biggest problem I can see for mobile users will be the autumn & winter holidays, with maybe a week or 2 ( each) of seasonal flying ghosts and bats, swirling leaves and snowfall (and other winter delights). Hopefully, for the sake of fun, people will try and be less mobile for those *There's this old joke I keep hearing that's relevant, perhaps you've heard it too: A man walks into a doctor's office with his arm in a sling. The doctor observes the sling and asks "So what seems to be the problem?" The man removes the sling, makes an acute gesture with his arm and winces in pain. He exclaims "It hurts when I do that!!!" The doctor, looking thoughtful simply replies, "Then don't do that!" Whatever "seems" to be a problem can usually be remedied by avoiding certain actions ^^ My question in the post above is more of a "does this plug-in affect lag more or equally to the straight up snowfall plug-in." That plug-in, by the way, won the poll for winter effects...so will be used instead of background snow. I am curious to see if our community enjoys the effects of falling images to enhance a holiday feel for each of the holidays. I think we can work around the rest by limiting the weather patterns to only using them as needed (Unless of course Presearing Club finds small enough Vikings icons for Superbowl Sunday, then all bets are off!) * Now that Australia Day is over, I've returned it to this plug-in's version of snow. I have also just set it to Homepage only, rather than Global. It can be adjusted to remind us to celebrate by creating a festive Homepage, while keeping it from obscuring our vision on the Forum page. |

That would be like roos in the road for M E I R Or once, after a while, a kangaroo suddenly pops out with his fists (in red boxing gloves) punching your screen making the glass break for few seconds. I can imagine myself forgetting about it and got caught more than once, lol. |

LOL In answer to your question, it's a 48 x 48 pixels max, so he can probably use the first 2. The third would be much akin to having a grand piano dropping on your head. (We have an animated Tiny Violin Playing in the smileys you know!) * Excuse my use of random space here, I need to paste the minimized Viking stuff to host it!
