Its an interesting/cool idea, but ultimately I don't love it. I think part of the reason for pre was its easy and simplicity. I'm sure those monsters wouldn't be terribly hard to beat and might have some cool and awesome rewards, but really it would change the pre we have all come to know and love so drastically that I don't think i'd want it. It would likely shift that outpost to be the main outpost, it would bring new drops into pre that would crush the current max collections from every max weapon collector to a pulp. In 201- maybe I would have supported this, but I really can't see it being well liked. That being said, it would likely bring more post players back into pre and would be cool to have more current players. It just does a lot to piss off the veterans who have dedicated so many years and hours to the current presearing.

Looks like fun! I feel like even a small update would breathe life back into pre! But something this major could be a blast for a long time.
I know presearing is a "sacred place" untouched by the blasphemous updates of post-searing, but every now and again something new is kinda cool.

What are the odds that any presearing updates (any size) would actually happen? 0?

yeah probably 0, i mean we did get the northland gate fixed, and then those new bosses/elite skills for post. along with a few other quality of life updates (that came well after the game's expiration date) so i think we should consider our selves pretty lucky!

This would be a blast in my opinion, though I do understand "if it ain't broke don't fix it". We all love the simplicity of pre but anything new at this point would be awesome just to bring new players in. I always thought a very easy update for them to do was add in a Pre Arena for pvp. It wouldn't effect anything but the population and would just be something fun to do. Either way I agree with Lord 100%, we should all be so thankful we receive any attention these days so this is all more then likely wishful thinking. A man can hope and wish though!

Rumor on reddit has it that Bill Friest has just been rehired by Anet. Maybe there's an update yet to come...wishful thinking I know.

In my opinion, the former idea of a "Far Northlands" would be absolutely splendid. Any new area, dungeon or enlargement would give the presearing community a boost of vitality.
It would bring lots of new players to pre, and would revitalize some of the old seasoned veterans. Many of these long term players only log in every now and then, and who can blame them? They have seen it all, done it a thousand times. But even them had only to gain from new content.
Another idea could be an expansion of the catacombs. For example, once you killed Skullreaver, a secret door or pathway would open, leading into deeper, unknown areas which more dangerous foes (and better loot).
Well, I have a dream...
