Hello all,
My name is Taylor. I am new to Pre-Searing and this forum. I just started my presearing.boards.net account today (thanks to the guy who scammed me) and made a character yesterday. In my attempt to get some items and things in Pre-Searing, I met someone named Mob Bully who was quitting Pre-Searing and selling all of his items. Throughout the course of the day, I had done 15+ trades with him adding up to well over 1,000e post gold. All trades were successful, and he held up his end of the deal. For our final trade, I was supposed to be buying his Unded Kuunavang in Pre-Searing. As I did throughout the day, I went first. I traded him 1,250e + 16 Armbraces of truth expecting to meet back in Ascalon to receive my Kuunavang- except he had logged out and blocked me.
I am not here to get a lecture on using a trade moderator / "dude, never go first!" or anything like that.
I am simply here to express my concern in hopes that no one else has the chance to lose their hard earned cash at the hands of Mob Bully.
Thanks for listening.

Welcome to the community Taylor, I wish you had joined under happier circumstances. I saw your post in Mob Bully's sales thread. Don't worry, I'm not going to lecture you, I'm sure you've beaten yourself up enough. Just please tell us that you have screenshots of the incident.... If you do, post them here and we'll see to it that he scams no one using our forum!
At the very least, your post here serves as heads up for anyone considering trading with him. Thank you for taking the time to alert our community!

I'm sure nothing can be done without proof, and I completely understand. Trading with him was truly my first experience in Pre-Searing. Thanks for the kind words, Taylor.

What a crappy first experience for Pre. I'm sorry for that, it should have been wonderful instead. Pre is the most serene and relaxing area of the entire game, in all 4 campaigns. Hopefully, it will all go progressively uphill from there. You've obviously met the worst element, the best is yet to come!

Hey trappersfocus Just FYI we've decided there is more than enough evidence, and Mob Bully has been added to our pre-searing Blacklist

Bane,
Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate the thought behind it. Just want to be sure it doesn't happen again.
Taylor.

Don't blame yourself from trading first. When trading indirectly, someone has to go first. It there is no first, there will be no trade. Yes, there is quite some risk trading this way, but you knew this already and (unfortunately) lost.
In some cases a solution can be to use a middle man who accepts the goods from both trading parties and distributes them further after the items are delivered, but then still both of you have to trust the middle man to be absolutely reliable.
