ishalldefend: This is not plausible. The stats of drops of any foes throughout the game depend EXCLUSIVELY on their level. What vanguard quest does is add new foes (new mob ids) to the game. Naturally all foes can drop core skin items of certain type + specific ones for their affiliation (e.g. celestial weaps). Now when a developer added those foes he didn't specify anything on their drops, which made them drop core skin weapons - whilst the stat ranges were automatically determined by their level - resulting in different stat ranges depending on the foes level which gain depended on the players level. Thus when the fix was done all the new foes were set not to drop any items. That's all. The drop ranges of other charr were never touched - if they were that would have affected ALL mobs throughout the entire game since - as stated - the mechanics determining stat ranges depend exclusively on level (btw by level when the mob spawned - as anyone having DLed will know). So I'd just like to stop this fairy tale before it gets popular - on the other hand... it might get ppl to farm more pre, which would be good... Just for a reference: I did get ONE 60g unid value item during my entire gw career. That's the upper end of a lvl 23 mob, which compares to the 17g item from a pre charr boss (lvl10). That's where I was farming Nolani Charr and Gargoyles excessively. Tens of thousands of runs resulting in millions of kills. Now let's assume tht a 17g purple or gold axe would have a chance of having a 7-28 damage - just hypothetical for the calculus - and it'd be 20% - again just a number. I get around 2 purple/gold items per 50kills. About 1 is an axe amongst an inventory load of 30 items. I get approximately the same amount of white/blue weapon drops as purple/gold ones. This means on the millions of kills - let's put 1million as a low value - that'd be 4000items with 2000 being gold/purple with 60 axes. So in order to have 4000 purple/gold axes to get one that is 60g I'd have to run 67 times as many runs as thus far. Then in order to get one of them to be 7-28 I'd need 5 60g axes resulting in one of them to statistically yield 7-28. That'd be 333million kills. So putting tht to a "farm" where you get 4kills in 4minutes (charrbosses) that'd be one person farming 24/7 for 633 years in order to get one. That being said - the 1million is a very low guess on how many runs I did, the 20% is a rather high value based on other items ranges where I get more data (axes seem rarer drop than other items - wands for example - throughout the game) I'd see the times for a 7-20 axe far higher (I feel there's fewer than 1/30items an axe from charr bosses) which I see as plausible enogh for this being the first 7-20 axe being reported (just think how many people out ther know shit about pre and get their chars through, are too lazy to check stats, too lazy to sell unids, keep special finds to themselves or w/e). Same for the 16%hsr staff, the 10-17 staff and so on...

I believe that you can make up your own price on this axe, here are 2 known in pre atm so you can ask anything for it. With that said I can say that the VERY minimum is easily 500bds.

I believe the OP removed his post because the discussion was given. It's been moved to completed transactions for the time being. I've enjoyed this discussion and I hope there's more soon after.
