Hi there.
I use - marksmanship 14 - nevermore flatbow +17% vs charr - read the wind
When i'm firing "dual shot" at a default charr shaman (same! ground level), I'll do not enough damage for an instant kill, leaving the foe alive at what seems to be like 10 hp or so.
However when I have the uphill advantage, the shaman is killed in one shot.
Back then I didnt think much of it when i put the charr mod on the bow, but now I'm wondering if the shaman would be dead in just one shot with a +18% mod.

EDIT: From an ingame source: 18% wouldnt be enough to kill the shaman in one "dual shot"

the reason he dies from uphill is that you deal more dmg with projectiles from higher elevation. 18% wouldn t be enough

I checked my damage calculation spreadsheet for this question: With your equipment and RTW, the dmg of a Dual Shot at equal level vs. a Charr shaman is - min. 94 - max. 158 (no crit.) - crit. 216 (32% chance) Since a Charr shaman has 220 HP, you can never one-shot them with that setup. With that 1% additional damage, the crit. damage with double-shot would be exactly the same, due to rounding. Using Ignite Arrows with 11 in Wildernes Survival instead brings 34! additional damage. Your chance to kill the Shamans with one-shot is 32% then. I highly recommend using IA for that reason (it's much more comfortable with a longbow though). Fun-fact: even without any +x% vs. Charr mod, you would deal 220 damage and instantly kill them.
In case you wonder: you cannot one-shot the lvl8 Nec and Mes Charrs with Ignite Arrows. There are 4 points of damage missing (2 points with an +18% vs. Charr Mod).
A Golden Egg would increase the values with RTW to: - max. 162 (no crit.) => the additional 36 dmg with IA would still not be enough - crit. 222 (34% chance) => BOOM! (Fun fact: with +16% vs. Charr you'd deal the exact same amount. Again, this is due to rounding. +15% vs. Charr will not work at all.)
A +18% vs. Charr mod would increase the crit. damage to 224. Using Ignite Arrows, you can even one-shot the lvl8 Nec and Mes Charrs.
tldr: - 18% Charr mod: Mo no; N/Me no - Golden Egg: Mo yes; N/Me no
- Ignite Arrows: Mo yes; N/Me no
- Ignite Arrows + Golden Egg: Mo yes; N/Me yes

Long story short, positioning > paying 120BD for a 18% bowmod.

Or whats with 25% Charr Up?

- What do you mean by "25% Charr Up"?

I knew about the +3 Marksmanship runes being available but a +20% vs. Charr should be max., even in post.
Is your question the same beside that? --> Difference of +17% vs. +18% vs. +20% Charr mod? I would apreciate a question that can be answered with yes or no so I don't put too much work in unnecessary queries.

1. Mo: Yes, on crit with a >+11% vs. Charr mod N/Me: No (use Ignite Arrows instead)
2. Mo: Yes, on crit with a >+2% vs. Charr mod
N/Me: No (use Ignite Arrows instead)
3. Mo: Yes, on crit
N/Me: No (use Ignite Arrows instead)
4. Mo: Yes, on crit N/Me: Yes, on crit Bosses: No, your crits would need 50 extra damage. Even with Ignite Arrows and +3+1+1 in Wilderness Survival this gap only reduces to 16 damage.

Ty much. So a +3 Marks Not so very helfull. Right? I wouldn't say that. It just doesn't improve your ability to one-shot too much. Your overall damage and crit chance is still increased.

- Marksmanship 16 vs. Bosses: auto attack crits with 120; chance 25,3 %; max no-crit 85
- Marksmanship 17 vs. Bosses: auto attack crits with 125; chance 26,9 %; max no-crit 88
- Marksmanship 18 vs. Bosses: auto attack crits with 129; chance 28,5 %; max. no-crit 91
(valid for player level 20 and nevermore bow with +18 % vs. Charr without higher ground)
