Hey guys, I was upgrading my Sword and it went like this: 1. I opened the dialogue with the weaponsmith. 2. right after that I added the sword pommel of Charrslaying, and THEN I clicked on customize. the result is this: As a result - it does less damage than my old customized 10-14 sword... What am I supposed to do? (I tried relogging many times and customizing it again but it doesn't let me.) Anyone encountered this before? Help!!

Hmm odd one... Perhaps put it up on reddit/r/GuildWars and someone might be able to help (also the devs check that reddit thread)...

Really weird!
Before you do anything drastic like scrap it I would suggest, * Get a hammer with 16 max damage and customize it (did your sword have an inherent?). Go crit some foes with an equal rank in both sword and hammer weapon masteries. Also crit some charr. Compare the weapon to see if it's doing less damage or the damage mod is just hidden. ** On regular foes you should crit the same. If it's less than the sword is damage bugged instead of just display bugged. ** On charr foes the sword should do more on crits. If it is equal or less than the hammer it is damage bugged instead of display bugged.
I might test this potential bug out later idk.

I tried reproducing the bug in post: I took some slaying mods and some weapons and tested what dmg they deal when crit. Then I went to weaponsmith as you did, opened customize dialog, applied slaying mod, customized. But I couldn't reproduce the bug - neither as equipped wepon nor as weapon in inventory. I only had 20% versions at hand. Could you give details, so I can more closely try to reproduce the bug? Which weaponsmith did you use? Did the sword have a slaying mod on there before? Did it have a pommel at all before the slaying one? Did you have the weapon equipped? Try to give as many details as possible - I'm intrigued to find out. You might try the sword on some mobs and see if it is just a visual or a functional bug: is the 20% applied even though you don't see it? Go to wiki to check for how to recognize a crit if you don't know how. If you don't know how to calculate the damage either study wiki or write the details of your research here: what mob, how much dmg did the weapon deal on a crit, what lvl is the mob. I'd assume applying a different pommel might fix the bug, if it's only visual - even though I see a 16% charrslay is rather costy to waste this way. Salvaging I'd try as well in post with a perf kit if I could reproduce the phenomenon there. As I said: sadly I couldn't :/ I'd love to see how this bug happens and how it could be fixed! Hope I could help

I have a character with max retention rate in case you are crazy enough to try and salvage it to see if adding the old pommel again unglitches it. Still might be worth something for glitch-collectors tho, probably one of a kind

This is intriguing. I'm very interested to see if anyone will be able to reproduce this.
