I saw one news story a year or two ago where someone bought an "empty" lot that was the last lot left in a development. It had a small stream on one side in a small ravine that went through a culvert under the road. The culvert got blocked and it flooded the road...
When someone looked it was all stuffed with those junk mail circulars everyone is supposed to get every week. One neighboring house had a security camera so they checked the footage for the day the circulars went out. They saw a mail truck stop and dump out a couple large bins of the ads down into the ravine.
Supposedly the guy had gotten sick of grabbing one for every house's mailbox so he just dumped them 'in bulk'.
