Meg drives for a Limo Service Primarily, then helps her dad in his Private Service when he needs her. If it's slow, she fills in with Uber. I gotta tell you, THAT company sucks big time.
They take 25% of all drivers fees, and they don't cover toll costs to return over bridges etc. The drivers lose money on those calls. Their rates are super low and they frown upon tipping. So it's the lowest of driver incomes available. They basically kick their drivers in the ass on a daily basis, and now Adding insult to injury, they want to drop human drivers all together.
I hope to God those driverless vehicles are never approved. The Greed has to end somewhere!
From what I've read on the different articles I've found many believe uber was lagging behind the others anyway, but, now that they have had testing suspended they can't improve anything because they can't test if changes actually improve things... and if they won't let you test until you show you've improved...
I guess its one case where a circular argument is good, it screws over Uber instead of Uber doing the screwing.
Oh yeah, they're good for all kinds of stuff like that. They send Meg to surge areas for pickups, surges being 5x the number of calls vs the number of drivers in the area. Thant kind of thing anyway. More calls than drivers. They announce 2.5 - 3x regular pricing as a surge perk, then pay out only 1.5. Where's the extra money going? Or, they send her away from a surge to pick up across the bridge.
She tried Lyft to fill in the difference when it's slow, but they're just as bad.
