Damn - you guys are awesome! Thanks for the data, ishalldefend! Also that new project of salvage kit values is interesting! Thanks a lot for the input and data For the q2 6e focus - just a matter of time - it's more a matter of taking care to check than to actually drop q1-q5 always have same minimum stats - thag is due to the mechanics, that reqs start dropping at 6g and that this means a spontaneous jump (5g items only yield q0). That's also why the lowest dmg for q1-q5 is fairly close to the max dmg for q0. On all weapon types this is gonna show true - I promise - just on daggers and scythes and spears the data is far from complete - sinse I almost only did statistics in proph and few others really care(d) about these. It is similar to the fact that q9-q13 have same highest dmg. Currently I have few time for gw or data interpretation - but I'll merge them into my excel sheets very soon Thag 17g item is very interesting - that is why 16hsr is possible - and it's actual rarity explains why it is THAT rare - thanks
redfireball Does this follow the pattern of other items dropped from lvl10 foes? Or from gold items in general?
Absolutely - I don't have the raw data here and am too lazy to type it off - but: identification adds a random in the range [1g, unid value(=25g here)] and multiplies by 4 for gold items. Yielding a range of 104-200g as observed with your data at an increment of 4g. The statistics behave as usual (from a rough look - as said): ghe 1g addition is by far the most frequent, decreasing rapidly for higher values. The average of the added value I observed is around 30% of unid value - you could calculate that by deviding the ident value by 4 and then subtracting 25g (the unid value) and then deviding by the unid value 25g. This will yield a number in the range (0,1] and calculating weighted average with respective frequency as weight should yield the result - around 0.3 - if they truly behave the same (which I promise they do, since no developer will have implemented a new gold value generation for charrkits if ylu know what I mean...)

finally found time to introduce your screens to my excel table - some nice new data! few gaps got filled - now there´s just two remaining that can be filled by nonboss drops: q1 purple staff at 7g value, q8 purple staff at 12g value. Both are gonna be extremely rare - if you give me a screen of either I´ll give you ... a cookie? For other means: just posting staves at 13g and upwardy or q8 and upwards will be sufficient. Also that one 9-13Staff you had caught my attention: it´s the first one I see with that DMG-Range! If you´d happen to get more of those - post values! Thanks so much for all the work and all the data! these are so helpful! So far all drops fit into my model about how the purple staves behave (in means of drop mechanics) - just the two gaps are missing - all the boundaries were met as expected - woho! Now I need data for the 14-31g range - 32g+ is covered by my chestruns sufficiently, 5-16g is covered by ishalldefends data from pre. Here´s a glimpse on my data: all black entries are observed drops, dark grey is my prognosis and light gray is a map of the blue items into the same table. You can clearly see the lack of data in the 14-31g range, as well as on q13s and 57g+ items. 57g+ are just insanely rare overall (had 4 59g items and 1 60g item so far over the years) and are barely farmed or taken notice of. If you want to get a really rare item - go for one of those ;D Thanks for all the help!
stumbled across this thread too late and didn´t find time to answer Axe 6-19 Bow 12-20 (11-20 is possible, but not in the gold value range appearing in pre - thus limited to post) Hammer 14-25 Staff 9-16 (9-17 for the commonly not respected 10-17 pre max is possible in post, but just like Bow not in pre value range) Sword 11-16 Wand 9-16 (blabla like staff) That´s it basically. Looney pointed out a point: (sticking with his example): even tho 12-20 and 8-12 bows are possible in q4, that doesn´t imply that 8-20 would be possible. There´s a little range around a "most common" "line" of possible combinations, that is possible. Here´s a visual impression of what I mean:
black cell means doesn´t happen (at least I didn´t observe so far). Some values in the cell mean: this happened at those values (I know you can´t read all the numbers, but one cell contains at least 6 usually 2 digit numbers when complete - a range of values for blue/white, purple and gold items seperately - so you wouldn´t get the point if I extended the cells to appropriate scale. For you to have a impression of the data and of what I mean by "most common" "line" let´s watch the 12-x bows: In the 12-18 cell there´s one entry, so I had 1 item drop with that DMG-range. next cell 12-19 reads 19-26(15-16)() meaning: I had blue/white bows drop at each of the values in the range 19-26g, purple ones for each value in the 15-16g range and no gold one so far (getting gold items in a 15g area is just reaaaallly rare). Next up: 12-20: 22-31,33,36(17-18)(18-21) meaning I had white/blue for each value in 22-31 and 33 and 36, purple and gold should be clear... 12-21: 25-36,43,45(17-20,22,25,31)(17-18,21,23-24) 12-22: 31,33,35-38,40-41,43-45(22-23,26-28)(23-25) 12-23: 45,47 you can clearly see, that the middle of the range is by far the most common and that getting the real boders of the ranges is terribly difficult. If you have questions: Drop research thread cheers

Got a gold mine of data for you here (I hope). Last staff (bottom right) doesn't match the description of what you're looking for, but it's a 12g value with 15% hsr, which I thought was highly unusual.
