If you want purple weaps to drop just farm with Josie lmao, 4-5 purples / run is almost something common with her, i have no screen to back it off, but i'm pretty sure we farmed 7-8 purples in a single run, and only by cleaning the altar, i'll try to remember and screen it next time it happens.
There is something special with her, i'm pretty sure the charrs feel like they own her something.

Game message says that he left the game, instead of joined. Wow, that is really wierd! You can see he got a piece of armor before that, but did that affect his drops after it happened?

No, it didn't affect his drops, and it happened (that he "left the game") every time he joined the game, not just once or twice.

A portal outside the playable map in the Northlands I've been dreaming of getting to for years. Interestingly enough, it has an active loadzone bar underneath it just like every portal in Prophecies and Factions. Sadly, Toolbox says there is no pathable terrain out there. Does it go to a removed outpost? Is it a Dev testing portal? We may never know.
On a side-note, the doors on the bridge, and the other doors in the ruined building guarded by Charr are both OPEN until the player enters compass range, indicating that long ago, the dev team may have had intentions of letting players explore the whole Northlands area. Sometimes a flower will spawn just past the bridge door, though you cannot ever reach it.

That's amazing...I'm really curious as well what would be through that portal (if anything). Does it correspond to an outpost in post-searing?
Near the bottom of the comments section is a post by StephenCW, who says he doesn't know what the portal is. A reply to that comment reveals that the portal corresponds to the Ruins of Surmia portal in post.

I was actually about to update my post because I did some exploring after finding that discussion on Reddit as well. I just recently returned to Guild Wars after being away a very long while. It is, in fact the Ruins of Surmia portal. I can confirm that. From Surmia, you can actually see the two bridges nearby. In Pre, you can stand at the two bridges, and if you fly (like I did in the video) you'll find the portal and ruined structures whose columns match up perfectly with Surmia's. The portal is in the right location, and facing the right direction too. I also discovered during my digging that the wiki entry for Surmia is misleading. It blatantly states that Surmia was thriving, and a major city during the time of Pre, and was one of the first to fall during the searing, however in Pre you can clearly see that it lies in ruins and is abandoned already.
I actually did find another Post portal (in a different area entirely), that is off the playable map, in an area that has unpathable terrain, and can only be viewed via Toolbox.
It is also in the location of another Pre-portal. I may make a video and post about it tomorrow because it's very existence is very interesting.

Here it is. In post, outside the playable map in "Old Ascalon", south-west of Sardelac, is the entrance to the Catacombs. In Pre you can exit Foibles Fair and it's a short walk north-northwest, past a few bears and bandits. It also has an active loadzone bar underneath it.
