Hello everyone,
Back into the original GW to have the fun that GW2 does not seem to deliver.
Now GW2 is still a good game (for me) but it does play quite different from GW.
My question (which has been hashed around since 2006 at least) is what profession would you do LDOA with Survivor title for a perma pre on?
I'm changing back and forth from Mes primary to Ele primary and typically take R as secondary just for the pet.
The plan is to drop the R secondary at 20 (and lose the imp too) and continue on as far as I can on the survivor route while general farming for drops and Charr farming.
----
My main issue is that I get too confident at level 12-13 ish and usually over aggro or think I can face tank a few more hits that I really can.
I'm sure I can do it on any profession if I just be more careful but...hehe
So just looking to get some updated opinions on what people feel like is a good "end game" perma pre setup.
Thanks and have fun all.

Pretty hard to go wrong with mesmer as empathy both destroys and has big damage mitigation. Backfire will do huge damage and when they get low on hp they just stop casting.
Saying that, mesmer has no ooc healing and r0 trolls unguent is pathetic. I would almost suggest ele second for glyph and aor but again you have even less ooc healing.
It's like you said, it's not that you cannot do it, it's just going to be a slow grind. Charr farming on a survivor is a bad idea.

There's always something that can go wrong while farming Charr, i lost my last one in the northlands because of a dumb mistake. I guess grinding the Vanguard quests is the safest way to do it. That said, farming Charr is a suuuuper fast way to level until you hit level 14, once you get there i would stop and just focus on the vanguard enemies.. Good luck!

But its the risk that makes it so fun.....
Can't remember how many characters I restarted in Factions to finally get my legendary survivor the hard way.
After a while it does not make sense to start over so its uber careful play.
Well, back to Mes primary.

One thing I've been trying to do is get as high off of farming on warrior before starting any of the quests, after I get to the point where I start getting impatient(16 exp per kill) I do all the quests( not including the one that takes you out of pre of course), then go for Find Farmer Hamnet and farm the two guys near Foible's Fair with the Fire Imp.
