No DC's due to internet, but I may have trouble in the future as I am using a laptop now, and can't just shut the monitor off.

Hey Love, GJ!!! Listen, it takes about 1/2 hour to pull 5 groups so, do it at night just before you go to bed. Set the screen to the smaller view, do not minimize completely, and set yourself to offline. A Prophet taught me this trick many moons ago when he still walked the Tyrian earth ; ) . It helped alot. When you wake up, caffeinate and kill! Good Luck Love! It's great to see the old ways are still being used!

No worries Lyn, he's done this before, in fact he played with the same prophet you mentioned.

I can make out a shaman there. Did you guys DL them too? Once two high level shamans ruined a setup for me I killed them right away or simply rezoned until the group constellation was better.

Yup PF was my only dance partner for DLs and boss runs. Good times. OMG! You DL'd with Feik? How awesome! He had just finished his 5th or 6th LDoA (and was considering which profession to use for his next) when I started asking him for tips. I was a noob in pre and very shy, but he made asking easy. There he was in D2 squatting at the bottom of the stairs ,off to the side, in the grass. He'd always answer random questions other players threw out to no one in particular, and in great detail. Always helpful, to everyone, when he was on. And that grassy area was his piece of turf... everyone knew it, lol. I thought of him as the compassionate king of D2. Wasn't he on a move to or from Texas when he stopped playing? I'd kind of like to know how things worked out. It's rare to meet really helpful people in game. Even though I wasn't in his personal circle, I have a great deal of respect for him, and would love to hear that his move turned out to be the best thing he'd ever done. If you're in touch with him in RL, tell him thank you from a random player he aided years ago, and All the Best to Him!

I wish I had his contact info. I lost contact a few years ago. I think he stayed in Texas. I think Anon still talked to him.

I just pulled 5 groups, 21 total, by myself. What a nightmare. I lost half the group twice, numerous runaways. I thought I wasn't going to get it. I don't worry about the shamans too much, I did kill 3 out of the 4 because they were not lvling.

I loved the pulling part of DL'ing, it was like an art. Lining up the groups behind the lower wall was fun. All the idiots in a row. Balling then up near the end of the wall just by the bush without dying was a challenge. The good thing about that area was that when they wandered off, they got stuck on that piece of ruin wall, so you didn't lose them completely. It was just a matter of pulling them back down to the main group. I think my main observance of the whole thing was that charr are basically stupid. Ya, I lnow, it's the program and they're not real. Still...how can you not laugh at them when you're standing right on top of them shooting at them, and they're still trying to go back because the shaman got bored and wandered away? I envisioned the stupid single charr torn between attacking you and following the leader singing "Should I stay or should I go" I did notice that when you pull more than 3 groups you have to allow way more time for the other groups to level. And incomplete individual groups, such as those with 2 shaman where you killed 1, leveled after the others got to 20. My friend Dee used to bring her mule to make them level faster, then map it out before she killed in the morning. My mule is on the same account, so I didn't have that option : ( I started keeping to 3-4 groups since I solo'd. That way I could get 2 setups done a day. In any event, your thread is bringing back fond memories Thank You Fuzzy! Oh, and awesome pic of you and Feik DL'ing. As a matter of fact, ALL of them are awesome pics ! ^^
