Hello Everyone! This past Wintersday Ethos added background snow to our forum. It was very subtle, but could not be made more dramatic because it caused lag for some members. 2 years ago when we first started this forum, Ethos added (what I think is) this particular snow for the holiday. Both versions are currently installed on our forum. I have created a poll for all of you members to vote in regarding the snow. Please vote for the version that you like best, and it will be kept for the next holiday (Wintersday in JULY ~ Just the illusion of cool should help to make the heat a bit more tolerable! ) ALSO: Please, do add your input in a post below! Let us know if you experience lag with either, Or any other concerns that you may have! Or, if you just plain LOVE it!
*This means you too @cancersnake & trader ! Even though you posted your likes in the shoutbox, adding them here can make all the difference!
And Thank You to Everyone in advance for participating!

I like it!
How about it fills up from the bottom of the screen so if we're browsing the forums too long we get a whiteout lol
J/k

We can make it a full scale blizzard if we want crikey
(Although, THAT will probably cause a few lag issues.)

So if we get snow in Winter, will we get a mirage effect in Summer?

So if we get snow in Winter, will we get a mirage effect in Summer? I shall look into it...There MUST be something If I can't find a mirage, will a dense morning fog do?

Save fog for spring. And falling leaves for autumn.

In the N/E USA we get lots of rain but the fog doesn't happen as much... at least not until the summer when we have high humidity then cooling. Mostly it's dense morning fog from the humid nights, lifting to more humidity. A perfect summer patch if I can't find a mirage.... Which I have been unable to do so far!
I did however find something else that I am looking into! I'll let you know after I check into it a bit further.
