So this is who we wound up with for Christmas. Very long story short, she was only 1/2 Meg's, but now she's 100% our newest pain in the ass. Basically a willful teenager at 7 months, she want's to do what she wants to do. Best thing is she's smart and will learn fast. Worst thing is she's smart and tries to get away with stuff anyway, LOL. She does demand a lot of attention! Which is why I've only been on 3 or 4 times a day instead of 6-8... But, she's cute, doesn't bark and loves to love and to be loved. How could we say no?

Meg's puppy Sky gets bored a lot. No matter how long or far you walk her, No matter how much tug of war, Bones, Toys, yatta yatta yatta. I finally found a way to keep her amused for an hour or better. She totally LOVES the Melandru's Stalker my ele has in Pre. She'll watch it non stop while I get some things done. When it disappears from the screen left, right or down, she gets off the couch and looks for it on the floor... When it reappears she lurches at the screen and tries to lick it. Whoever thought GW would be a great babysitter for a puppy? Attachment Deleted

So awesome, honestly love to see this. I wish my pupper did something similar. Unfortunately she only does one thing while I'm gaming... and that is bump my right arm for attention xD. Very annoying when you need precise mouse movements. It is seriously my right arm only, I bet she knows this annoys me the most!

Any attention, even scolding, is still attention. Sky bumps my right hand on the mouse too! Can you block off access to the right side of you comp, and put a stool or something on the left side? This way you can pet her with your left hand while you play.

I walk Meg's dog for 2 miles every morning along a bike path next to the parkway. She has a lot of energy and needs to blow it off. We stop 1/2way through at a bench near a small waterfall. where on hot days I give her a bowl of water. Meg get's home from work most days early enough to take Sky to the dog park. There she blows off her afternoon energy! Of the 2 forms of exercise the dog gets, I much prefer the long walks. The 2 attachments are great examples of why! If you had to groom this dog...Which would you choose? Attachments:

Hey bud, do you have to decide for an activity or for a dog? Im a little confused (bc my english isnt the best). As for most dogs I would suggest you do combine physical and cognitive workloads. My girlfriend and I decided to start target seeking activities since sniffing and seeking is both exciting and exhausting for dogs and they really love it. There are great books about that, but i dont know the english term tho. Im excited to get there when our dog gets a lil older!

Sadly, the only pets I was allowed were virtual ones aka Nintendogs (rip little ones) But azes is right, combining physical workouts with mental exercise is always a good thing.

Oh, I know...I was just being facetious. The fact of the matter is, no matter how dirty she gets, Sky is always beautiful. (And I'm always the one who winds up cleaning her up...hahahaha) The amazing thing about huskies is that you really never have to bathe them... even when they get that dirty. They don't have oily skin, so they never smell, and their thick undercoat prevents the dirt from getting down deep. Just wait for them to dry then rub them down with a towel, then brush and voila... Good as new (but Damn what a mess she was! Really Meg ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I'd take the morning walk because then I'm getting the exercise too. This would leave the rest of the day open for anything else =)
Also, consider wrapping the dog in cling wrap before leaving the house. When the dog is dirty, simply peel off a layer of cling wrap for an instantly clean and shiny coat

I know that, Lyn. During summer and winter fur changes, at walks, we used to stop at trash cans to take our dog friend by surprise (she didn't really like brushing) and get rid of that outside.
